Standley Lake North Trail

Took a nice walk with a friend and their dog near Standley Lake this past weekend.

I have never specifically walked around this lake, but I have been near it and the views were lovely. My friend had hurt their back, so needed something with nothing too steep and nothing too muddy. We got the nothing too steep, but we did not avoid the mud… Still it was a beautiful and a wonderful time. The wind was whipping, but it was a grand day for a meander outside

Verdict and Stats:

4.9 miles, 320 ft elevation gain (at the end of course), out and back

Pro tip: Park at the big creek parking lot (does cut some mileage off the total), the standley lake parking lot is pay.

The walk is lovely – lots of side paths if you want to explore. Lots of runners, bikers and walkers.

Close to Denver, full sun (so better in the winter!)
