The sunday before the 4th, i decided I needed to get outdoors and enjoy the day, but it had to be early, so we didn’t die in the heat!

I got up/woke up around 6 and left winston to sleep with Dad while Paco and I snuck off to hike Maxwell Falls.  This is a hike we are familiar with because it is close to denver, shaded for most of the trail, has water (river and the falls) and just around 4 miles. More specifics on the hike are here in a previous post.

Paco loves the car and dirt, winston loves sleeping and the couch, so really it was no brainer on who to take out that morning!

We got out there early enough to be the second car in the parking lot! So we knew we would have the trail to ourselves for at least a little bit!

Paco got to scare a “herd” of deer, and he was pretty pumped from that!

We picked a different way back and I am pretty sure it was up hill the entire way, but we got some new and fun sights!

It was a really great morning, enjoying the sights, so many wild flowers!

It was great way to kick off our sunday! Paco said he had a great time!
