Just cause you can do something in the crock pot, doesn’t mean you should…
Yup it’s possible. Looks very weird, and it has a little twinge of something when you bite into it. (Yes, yes, i did try this weird looking item!)
Found this recipe in a Slow Carb Crockpot Cookbook . I had grabbed it from the library to see what it had and if it was worth having or just stealing a few select items from. So far we are 0 for 2. I tried a green curry beef one last month.. meh. I combined it with a lentil one from a different book, and then it was ok.
- Place 18 eggs in the bottom of a 6 quart crock pot
- Fill with cold water to cover eggs.
- Turn on crock pot for 8 hours on low
- Once done, remove to cold water bath, once cool, store in the fridge.
Note: I slept longer then anticipated, and turned it on sooner than before bed, so it sat on warm for 1 hour and 20 minutes past the 8 hours.
Still the results were less than stellar, and if i have an over night to know i need hard boiled eggs, i can usually find 20 minutes to make them on the stove.
