The day started with a good morning happy birthday greeting with the alarm. Happy Birthday Sweet pea!

Then Phillip showed up with a sign for dad saying happy birthday! (no picture – we scratched it off!)

Then, I managed to actually get out of work on time and take hubby our for a great birthday dinner! He chose Cru – a wine bar! I made the reservations for 6pm and we arrived at the appointed time! Today was an absolutely wonderful day! 50 degrees and sunny, and that rolled over to evening! I wasn’t shivering – yeah!

Our friends Judy and Bob stopped by the restaurant with a balloon, a song and a card! It was a great surprise!

Cru – was absolutely amazing! We started with 2 wine flight –hubby did merlot- I did the shiraz.I really enjoyed mine and hubby his as well. We went with a glass of theDynamite. I went with another flight of “world” wine! All were pretty tasty!

I  ate scallops with spinach risotto – OMG amazing! Hubby had miso glazed sea bass and he really liked that too!

We ended with a port for hubby and an awesome mustcat from for me, ( Chateau Rieussec, Sauternes Bordeaux ’98)  with a little pot of chocolate fondue! Sooo very yummy!

We enjoyed each others company, our waitress Michelle was fabulous, it was really a lovely evening!

Hubby enjoyed himself very much! We will be visiting Cru again and often!
