Date Night

Hubby and I had date night last night!
He had an appointment down town yesterday afternoon, so he just hung in the Starbucks in my building till til I was done with my day!

Then we headed to The Broker for a couple beverages and some appetizers! It’s a really cool place. It’s in a bank. It’s in a vault! You pretty much zero cell service and It’s decorated really neat!
The happy hour specials area very reasonable, even if the beer selection is minimal! I really liked the cheese plate (ask for extra crackers), and the oysters on the half shell! The prime rim sliders looked really good and there were a ton, but we were afraid hubby wouldn’t like them, so we decided to wait for next time! The fried calamari was bit over done, so stick to the sliders and the beer and have a great night!

After that we headed over to the main activity of the evening! Comedy Works! We had tickets to see two of the comics from Last Comic Standing. The little British dude: Matt Kirshen, and Debra Digiovanni.

We were still early – so we headed into Larimer Square and stopped at Corridor 44

It was a really neat place! I had a pomegranate and champagne beverage, hubby had the French twist. It’s a great place for a date, or romantic evening, and they have a party room in the back that I am trying to figure out an event to hold there!

Finally we head to Comedy Works! We really enjoyed the show. Debra was even funnier than on the show. She tended to stick to the same jokes on the show, but went way out and had us laughing WAY out loud. Matt was ok. Hubby hadn’t seen the whole season so some jokes were a first for him. He liked him better! I liked her better! We hadn’t been to a show with just 2 headliners and no opening comics, so that was fun! Although the MC was hysterical! Greg something or other (i have an email into them to find out his real name!)

All that activity and were still home by 10! Woohoo!
