Saturday, hubby and I headed away for our weekend tocelebrate his bday and some time for us! We headed to Evergreen to visit the winery we discovered Tuesday. CreeksideCellars. It’s south of the center of town. It’s a cute little place and has agreat restaurant.  I had a grilled shrimpand vegetable salad with a tangerine balsamic dressing. Hubby had an Italian sandwhich.Yummies! We opted for the bourdoux flight which included a Merlot, Cab andReserve Cab. We liked the Merlot best! After lunch we continued our tasting – and came up with some favorites –Robusto, Moscato DiAmburgo, Lakehaus 10 year Tawny Port, and of course theResiling from Tuesday!  Nummies! 

After lunch and wine shopping we headed for our True Romance Evening at the Table Mountain Inn. We checked in to our room and found our chocolate covered strawberries,and sparkling wine.  Yeah!  We had some quality snuggling time watchingTLC’s Flip that House and Moving Up. Dinner was at the restaurant in the hotel. Again – yummies!

 The sleeping was less than stellar. The “fantastic” all down pillows were a bummer and did little to make our slumber comfortable. The morning came slowly, and I enjoyed the coffee and flavored creamers provided with the room! We again dined in the Hotel restaurant. I had salmon cakes benedict, with chipotle hollandaise sauce! Really really good!

We headed back home to see the bubbahs and relax the rest of our Sunday away!
